I was let down when I took the rod out of the tube. It felt cheaper than I expected, the guides weren’t lined up properly, and there were a few rough spots in the finish. For the price, I expected better. Did anyone else run into the same issue with theirs?

Trying to exchange my order was way more frustrating than it should’ve been. It took forever to get anything moving, and when I reached out to support, they barely helped. I just kept getting vague replies and had to keep following up myself. Not a great experiance.

I’ve taken it out on a few trips now, and it’s been okay overall. It handled fine, but it started chipping sooner than I thought it would. Not a bad rod, just feels like they could’ve made it a little tougher

I’m not sure if the site was updated recently or if it’s just been this way for years, but it feels dated. The layout is kind of cluttered, and I had a hard time figuring out where to look first

I ordered a rod from Moonshine Rod Company the packaging was a letdown right away.
The tube showed up looking beat up, and there was barely any padding inside. One end was crushed, which is ridiculous for something that costs this much and is supposed to be protected during shipping.

Luckily the rod didn’t seem totally broken, but it definitely made me nervous. I’d have a hard time ordering again if this is how they’re sending out their gear.

The rod did eventually make it to me and it was packed well enough, so no real issues there. It just took longer to ship out than I was expecting, and the tracking didn’t really give much to go on. I’d say it’s probably fine overall, just not the smoothest experience.

It’s a decent rod overall, casts smoothly and feels nice and light in hand. I just kind of regret not getting something with a firmer tip, because it feels a little too soft when you hook into bigger fish. For casual weekend fishing it’s fine, but I was hoping it would handle a bit more.

I really wanted to like this site, but the selection felt kinda limited. There were a few rods that looked decent, but not a ton of choices when it came to different styles or price ranges. I ended up browsing other shops instead. Hopefully they add more stuff soon becuase it has potential.

I was mentally drained after trying to get a good feel with this rod. It just wasn’t sensitive enough for me, and I had a hard time picking up on the lighter bites the way I expected.

I was hoping I’d feel better about ordering from them, but I’m still a little unsure. Some of the info I got didn’t really line up, and the replies took longer than I expected, which made me kind of nervous. The rod itself seemed fine when it arrived, so maybe it’s not a big deal, but I don’t know if I’d order again unless the updates were clearer.

I had one of my rods fail, so I tried going through the warranty process... and wow, it was frustrating!! It took forever to get any replies, and every time I did hear back, it felt like they were just pushing it off again and again. In the end, I really didn’t get any actual help at all... Definitely won’t be buying from them again!!!

I really wanted to love my Moonshine rod because, to be fair, it does look sharp. Unfortunately, once I actually fished with it, the magic kind of stopped there. For the price, I was expecting something that felt a little more special, not just a nice-looking stick with good lighting.
Maybe I accidentally paid extra for the aesthetics and the performance was just the free bonus. It’s not awful, and it’ll catch fish, but I’ve used cheaper rods that felt just as good, if not better. Wouldn’t be the one I reach for first next time.

Feels really comfortable in the hand and the grip stays nice and secure. Just wish it were a little lighter

I ordered from moonshinerods.com and ended up needing to reach out to support about my order. The whole thing was kind of frustrating because sometimes it seemed like they were going to help, but then I’d be left waiting way too long for a reply.

When they finally did respond, the answers were super short and didn’t really address what I asked. I kept feeling like maybe I was getting somewhere, then the next message would make it clear they hadn’t fully read what I wrote.

The rods might be perfectly fine, and I’m not saying the product is bad, but the customer service gave me mixed signals the whole time. After having to chase them for basic answers, I wouldn’t order again.

At first I thought the casts were just okay, but actually, after a little practice, they started landing pretty much where I wanted them to. Overall, I’m happy with it.

I liked the look of a few rods right away, so I assumed browsing around would be simple. But the site felt slower than expected, and even basic details took more digging than they should have.
On mobile, the menu kind of threw me off too. I kept assuming I was tapping the right place, then I’d back out by accident and have to start over. It’s not a terrible website, but it definitely feels like it needs some cleanup.
